Seeds of the Mediterranean is a series of webinars promoted within the framework of the Mediterranean Cluster, a working group in which the PAC National Networks of Mediterranean countries meet monthly (Italy, France, Romania, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus, and Croatia), moderated by the EUCAP Network.
This series plans to organize a webinar every four months, with each edition coordinated by a participating country.
This edition is organized by Portugal, with the support of Spain and Greece.
The theme of this first edition will be: Water management in Mediterranean crops, with a special focus on good practices, innovative solutions, and experiences that can be transferred between territories facing similar challenges related to water scarcity, adaptation to climate change, and agricultural sustainability.
Knowledge sharing and Mediterranean cooperation set the tone for the ‘Seeds of the Mediterranean’ webinar, which will take place on March 16, at 10 a.m. (Portugal time).
The initiative will be held online and will last 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The main objectives of the webinar are:
- To give visibility to relevant projects and good practices related to water management in Mediterranean contexts;
- To promote the exchange of knowledge between countries;
- To share solutions that can be transferred and applied in other territories;
- To raise awareness of the strategic importance of water management in Mediterranean agricultural systems.
