“DiMEd – Mediterranean Diet: multidimensionality as a support for education and professional training”, comprises the development and production of educational resources, in digital format, through a close cooperation between players in the vocational education and training system, research and other local entities. This project covers several themes associated with the Mediterranean Diet, including heritage (cultural, ethnographic, maritime), mediterranean landscapes, sustainability, gastronomy, health and nutrition, and innovation in relevant sectors. In addition to the formal curriculum, all the resources are also guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Particularly, these resources and new educational practices made available, will be useful for the professional training offer, contributing to the acquisition of relevant knowledge and skills in various domains and professional profiles.
The educational resources comprise support materials for the teacher/trainer complemented
with different resources (e.g. infographics, videos, quizzes, leaflets, worksheets, exercises) for application in the classroom or autonomous work.
DiMEd project (ALG-07-5267-FSE-000045) is promoted by Tavira Ciência Viva Science Center, in partnership with the University of Algarve and support of the Tavira Municipality and is co-financed by Portugal and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) and CRESC Algarve 2020, in the framework of Portugal 2020 (ALG-07-5267-FSE-000045).
