The Emblematic Community in Charge will continue to have the following responsibilities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annual management of the intergovernmental panel<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thought leadership of the network<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International spokesperson\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dedicated interview and visibility<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A very important meeting because it aims to celebrate a year of significant achievements, such as the event held at the United Nations in New York, curated by the Emblematic Community of Pollica, but also to open up to new opportunities for the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1) to <\/span><b>expand the network of Emblematic Communities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by accepting new applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2) establish a <\/span><b>Permanent Secretariat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to manage the joint initiatives of the Communities<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3) put the <\/span><b>EGTC into operation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, following the initiative of the Italian Emblematic Community, in 2013 The Municipality of Pollica (Italy) and the Municipal Department of Koroni of the City of Pylos-Nestor (Greece) signed the European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The mayor then congratulated the great work done throughout the year, with weekly Friday meetings to align joint communication and valorization strategies and the outstanding work done by the entire team in creating the new site promoting the principles and values of the Mediterranean Diet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mayor Pisani encouraged the audience to increase opportunities for Cooperation in EU Projects and then turned the floor over to <\/span><b>Sara Roversi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to share the milestones achieved during the year of Italian coordination.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mediterraneandietunesco.org\/el\/\"><b>mediterraneandietunesco.org <\/b><\/a><b>&#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Emblematic Communities Communication Task Force, composed by the focal points, launched the new sites that finally represents us all!<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A beautiful collaborative effort!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>First mission to New York &#8211;<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/mediterraneandietunesco.org\/el\/power-of-seeds-to-grow-healthy-communities\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Power Of Seeds To Grow Healthy Communities<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>In June it was sent out the first joint newsletter! <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you missed it, see our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mediterraneandietunesco.org\/el\/news\/newsletter-archive\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">archive<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">!<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Mission to Dubai &#8211; <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/futurefood\/mediterranean-diet-connects-people-at-expo-2020-dubai-aaf81921d0de\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u03b7 \u039c\u03b5\u03c3\u03bf\u03b3\u03b5\u03b9\u03b1\u03ba\u03ae \u0394\u03b9\u03b1\u03c4\u03c1\u03bf\u03c6\u03ae<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was presented during Expo 2020<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>2022 International day of museums:\u00a0 #MediterraneanDietTables <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">|<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Network<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">organized a joint initiative involving families from the local communities to gather around virtual tables and share recipes for the future.
